The purpose of meditation is to constantly maintain peace and tranquility in our minds. When our minds are calm and at peace, they are free of anxiety and restlessness, and therefore, we become happy. If our minds are not calm, it becomes very difficult to be truly happy, even if our living conditions are excellent. Something is always missing. A moment of happiness is always followed by a moment of unhappiness. Even though our friends and loved ones may reassure us that we are happy, we know deep down that we are not happy, and we try to accept our situation.

With regular meditation, we find inner peace, and we also find peace with the people and events we encounter and interact with in our daily lives. We gradually attain a pure happiness that becomes purer and ultimately persists even in the most difficult circumstances. Sitting in meditation regularly gives us an inner clarity and depth that allows us to control our minds without being dependent on external factors.

Instead of living with a mind that becomes unbalanced, oscillating between extreme excitement and despair, searching for reasons to be happy, We learn to establish our mental balance and experience what is meant to be experienced—uninterrupted and causeless happiness—unaffected by the oscillations, ebbs and flows, confusions, losses (and gains), excitements, and anxieties that will inevitably persist in our lives.

Meditation is the only path that leads to salvation. It eliminates all worldly causes of trouble, stress, and pain from their source. It teaches us to see everything; it gives us a sense of Oneness and Unity. It shows those who aspire to follow the path of the Creator the path to eternal peace and eternal happiness. Meditation opens the mind to intuitive knowledge, paving the way for the emergence of many hidden powers.

The most important benefits of meditation are those that cannot be described with the right words. You can experience them firsthand, or if you have people around you who meditate, you can observe their experiences and development.

If we touch upon some of its benefits that can be described (and have been scientifically studied, proven and accepted by various reputable universities): In general, we can say that its strengthening and therapeutic effects on our mental and physical health develop in a short time after starting meditation and following regular meditation, that it has a significant regulating effect on the circulatory system and blood pressure, that it reverses aging in many ways with its regenerative and reconstructive effects on the muscular and nervous systems, that it strengthens our immune system, and that it increases our mental and physical resistance to stress and external influences.
