For a seeker, understanding their purpose in life is possible by following a path that can aid their quest.
And all teachings insist that you find a Master, Teacher, or Guru before attempting to seek.
Because He will be there to help and support you.
All teachings have recognized this truth.
They say you can't find something by seeking, but those who find it are still seekers.
You will be torn apart while searching, but He will be there to encourage you and give you hope.
He will be there to interpret the new for you.
This is the meaning of a master: to interpret the uninterpretable, to point out the unutterable, to show you the inexpressible.
A master will devise new methods and find new paths for you to continue on your own path.
Otherwise, you may become afraid and run away, abandoning your search.
That is why the Buddha said, "Fortunate is the one who finds a master."
The Master is the gate to the divine. A gate that will not hinder you from going home. A gate through which you can pass.
Yes, Master, Teacher, Guru, that's exactly what it is: the gate.

That's why this place is a Gurudwara.

That is, "The Master's Gate."
