Founded in 1998, the Alternative Life Academy is committed to providing, maintaining, and developing a free environment that allows both students and instructors to participate in learning and knowledge creation at the highest level.
In our understanding, the AHAD (Alternative Life Lessons) community consists not only of students but also of instructors, alumni, parents, staff, and others within the academy who share the same goals. Over the years, we foster tolerance, love, and respect among individuals with diverse lifestyles, beliefs, and opinions. We aim to create a cultural and scientific community within the framework of contemporary universal values and our deeply rooted local values, while also fostering strong ties with all relevant segments of society.
According to the AHAD philosophy, education and training must be well-structured to cultivate "individuals who are curious, constantly learning, able to apply their knowledge, and possess developed problem-solving skills." With this in mind, AHAD, which we established, aims to: Our educational programs, which teach learning and problem-solving, utilize the "Education Through Research," "Learning by Production," and "Active Learning" approaches, aiming to empower our students to take an active role in the learning process—in the classroom, within the Academy, and in the flow of life.
Because we know that the more our students ask questions, discuss, experiment, observe, and participate in group work, the more lasting and accurate learning opportunities they will have. This allows them to become more self-aware, to know themselves, and to be themselves. In this way, they can contribute more to life as individuals, aware of their responsibilities.
